Surveys of the distant Universe

Research area

Deep extragalactic surveys are the most powerful tool to probe the distant Universe. Our team members are actively involved in several ongoing and future survey projects, such as DESI, PFS, LAMOST, CSST, LSST, etc. Left figure: a giant protocluster of galaxies at z = 5.7 (Jiang et al. 2018). Right figure: an ultra-luminous quasar at z = 6.3 (Wu et al. 2015).
