DSS-GAC: A Digital Sky Survey of the Galactic Anti-center

DSS-GAC - The Digital Sky Survey of the Galactic Anti-center consists of two parts: 1) The Xuyi Schmidt Telescope Photometric Survey of the Galactic Anti-center (XSTPS-GAC), with an extension to the M31/M33 area; 2) Guo Shoujing Telescope (LAMOST) Spectroscopic Spectroscopic Survey of the Galactic Anti-center (GSJTSS-GAC).

The Xuyi Near Earth Object Survey Telescope, mounted on Xuyi Station of the Purple Mountain Observatory, is a 1.04/1.20m  Schmidt telescope with a large field of view of about 3 degree. Equipped with new generation of 4Kx4K CCD detector, it can shoot dim stars fainter than 20 magnitude in 90 seconds. The telescope was used to carry out the Xuyi Digital Sky Survey of the Galactic Anti-Center during September 2009 to Marth 2011, the photometric component of the Digital Sky Survey of the Galactic Anti-Center (DSS-GAC).
