Globular clusters as a tracer of galaxy formation and evolution: a case study of M85

M85 is an S0pec type galaxy in the northernmost region of the Virgo cluster, known as the merger remnant galaxy that experienced a wet merger a few Gyr ago. In this discussion, I will talk about why globular clusters are a great tool to trace the formation and evolution history of their host galaxies and give an example about the globular cluster system of M85.
