NBODY2014 training workshop on gravitational N-body simulations

In the weeks of 15-23 November, the NBODY2014 workshop on computational astrophysics will be held at the Kavli Institute for Astronomy and Astrophysics at Peking University. The workshop is organized by Sverre Aarseth (Cambridge University), Rainer Spurzem (NAOC/KIAA/ARI), Long Wang (KIAA), and Thijs Kouwenhoven (KIAA). It consists of several lectures (15/16/22 November), but for most of the time the students will work on practical problems in the field of N-body dynamics. Students are expected to actively participate in all activities. The programming exercises and research projects can be carried out individually or in small groups. We invite graduate and undergraduate astronomy students from Chinese universities to attend. The training workshop is limited to roughly 15 students.
