Mysteries of cosmic high-energy neutrinos

The origin of high-energy neutrinos detected in IceCube is a new mystery in astroparticle physics. I discuss possible scenarios and general implications that have been obtained so far, and show the importance of multi-messenger approaches. Then, I summarize open questions and future prospects.
