Circum-galactic Medium Around Local Spiral Galaxies --- A New Window to Understand Galaxy Evolution

The multi-phase circum-galactic medium (CGM) plays a key role ingalaxy evolution as a reservoir where galaxies acquire baryons tocontinue their SF and deposit chemically enriched materials andmechanical feedback. I will introduce our recent work and ongoingprojects studying the X-ray emitting hot galactic coronae around localdisk galaxies, as well as some other multi-wavelength projects. I willalso discuss how these observations could improve our understanding ofthe total baryon budget, metal enrichment, and dynamics of the CGM.
