The 2017 KIAA-PKU Astrophysics Forum
Sciences with LSST and CSST

The Large Synoptic Survey Telescope (LSST) will start the science operation in Chile in 2021. The Chinese Space Station Telescope (CSST) will also be launched around 2022. Both LSST and CSST will carry out multi-wavelength, deep optical photometric surveys over large sky areas. CSST will also provide the prism spectra for billions of objects. These two surveys will bring unprecedented opportunities for scientific discoveries in many fields of astronomical research, including those from solar system to cosmology, as well as time domain astronomy.
The theme for this year's KIAA-PKU Astrophysics Forum is Sciences with LSST and CSST. We are organizing a forum to discuss various research topics and domestic/international collaborations related to these two upcoming surveys. Chinese astronomical community should be well prepared to use the observational data from these two large survey projects to do first-rate scientific research.

LSST和CSST的科学研究 （Sciences with LSST and CSST）

LSST(大口径全天巡视望远镜)将于2021年在智利正式运行，CSST(中国空间站望远镜)也将于2022年左右发射入轨。LSST和CSST都将进行大天区面积的多波段深度测光巡天，CSST更有大天区面积的无缝光谱巡天。这将在天文学研究的众多领域，从太阳系天体到宇宙学研究，以及时域天文学，带来科学发现的极大机遇。
本年度北京大学科维理天体物理论坛的主题为“LSST和CSST的科学研究”。我们将组织讨论与两个将要建成的大型望远镜巡天项目相关的各类天文学研究课题和国内外合作，为国内天文界今后更好地利用这两个大型巡天项目的观测数据从事高水平的科学研究做好准备。
会议将包括以下主题：
